It smells like a bourbon, a cheap one at that. The odor can even take you by surprise and fool you into thinking this is a run of the mill whisky. Rest assured, the taste will disprove the harsh notions. It is surprisingly smooth and where there are no hints of fruit, spices, or vanilla, its just whisky. This is the type of bourbon where you know fore sure you're drinking bourbon. The familiar burn and palette makes you feel at home while the taste dazzles you the whole time. 9/10 for a bargain and gift for your whisky connoisseur.

Loved it; smell/nose was harsh but the taste was friendly. Chilled, it was absolutely delightful. I wonder if it's truly the first bottled bourbon, but regardless it's a great product with a seemingly rich history. I give it a confident 9/10.
