6/10

This is the first time when smooth just isn't good enough. This whiskey is smooth start to finish the it's the start and the finish that is troublesome. The cabernat barrels leave an unpleasant aftertaste that can only be described as burnt grapes. It lingers on your tongue sip after sip and makes it hard to drink. I applaud the smoothness and time spent crafting this bourbon but I just can't get past the grapes. I give it a 6/10.

6.5/10

There was a lot of careful artwork that went into producing this whisky, and for that reason, I have a lot of respect for it. However, I simply feel that the flavors were too clashing; too much trying to happen at once. You could taste the sweetness, but the after-taste was fighting between too many flavors.  Overall, I was quite alright with drinking it, but in the future, I think I'll go for the original recipe. I rate it at a fair 6.5/10.
