A whisky worthy of Tay's 27th birthday. The velvety vanilla tones set the standard for what to expect from this whisky. Overall it's smooth, and with a litle water, the harshness of the 50% AB is nullified into a scintillating taste. Doesn't leave a long aftertaste and it keeps you going back for more. Overall, it didn't wow me. It's a great whisky for the price. 7/10.

27th year on this plant. Holy Moly! I was very fortunate to spend it with great people, food, and whiskey. The Colonel was an especially good friend tonight. The firs ttaste was full and rich, but every taste thereafter was more and more smooth and wonderful. The taste of the Colonel resonated; the post-civil war flavors were exceptional and enjoyable. Thousands of visitors will attest. Count this guy as one of them. 8.5/10
