Warning! Be ready for what's in store when you take the first sip neat. It packs quite the smoke and surprising amount of burn for a $40 whiskey. The real flavor of this bourbon comes when chilled with a little water so the harsh tones mellow out. After the mellowing, the glasses are drinkable. You feel the strength without the flavor for the most part.

The first sip of this was like its sibling, Noah's Mill -- strong. If you're having a straight face contest with someone, have them take a sip of this at room temp. Bold. After being chilled, it's certainly enjoyable. This whiskey is a truth-teller; a reckon-er. A fun time, but an experience nonetheless.
