It has that distinct bourbon smell and the rest of the familiar tastes accompany it. This is what I would call a "bourbon's bourbon". It won't impress you with the nose or the hidden flavors but for the price, you're not likely to find something this smooth. It's drinkable, and potent, and cost effective. Great for the every day, but not for the special occasion. 6.5/10 for the simple lack of "special".

It came with a secret Santa gift of whiskey tasting kit. Partnered with that, it's great. By itself, it's pretty good. It's smooth, tasty, but non-distinctive. I find it enjoyable but it wouldn't be at the top of my list of recommendations, but it's definitely not bad. 6.5/10
