It's average and exactly what you'd expect an Irish whisky to taste like. There aren't any subtle hints of flavor or delightfully lingering after-tastes, there is only whisky. The bourbon cask does slightly come through, making this ideal for the convert. But overall, it does not wow you, it simply exists. An average 5/10 for not doing anything special.

This whisky is as much Irish as the mustached gentleman featured on the front of the bottle. It is simply understated, yet powerful and iconic of its origin. Easy to drink, not trying to beat around the bush. Also appreciate the import to Boston. All in all enjoyable, and I long for the opportunity to chessbox a bare-knuckle Irish boxer. 7/10.
