It's surprisingly sweet but doesn't overwhelm with flavor. Nothing really sticks out here, minus the sweet and smoothness. No impact of smoky or savory tones, no distinct qualities. All that being said, it's above average and a good whiskey for those just getting into the whiskey game. Overall I give it a 7/10, but it;'s made me rethink other scores because it's definitely above average.

From the onset, it's clear that the award it received is warranted; Oola-la-la (terrible attempt at a Fugees song reference). It's very smooth. The taste's sweet but not very complex, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It worked very well for Waitsburg. I would highly recommend it for drinkability, smoothness, and their toast, which is truly one of the best things ever. 8.5/10
